This Days Miracle

Outside the warmth
Sticky and moist
Undeniable air on my skin
Defense to the sky
My being recoils from the sun

Dearest eagle
You fly so high
Strong and mystical
The little creatures seem jealous
Your beauty too much
To comprehend we try

From the land we see water
From the water we see land
Perspectives equal in theory
Not at all in reality
To live on land
To explore the water
Love to choose the latter

Where do the miracles stop?
At man’s hand?
Not at all
With all we do
With all we are
With all we have
This existence so spiritual
If only man knew

  2. this is an awesome poem sandy! it's quite different than most of your poetry, I can see how quickly you are evolving as a writer. The subject matter you choose almost takes me by surprise in each new verse - it is good use of variation (but not all over the place). hope europe is treating you well. let me know!
    love, katelin :)
